Next week

As mentioned last week our Year 9 and 10 students have the option to return to onsite learning from Monday 22 November (Year 9 students) and Tuesday 23 November (Year 10 students).

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a delay in receiving these resources from the Ministry of Education the DROP AND SWAP days for students to return their school devices and pick up a hard pack are now:

OPTION A - Students continuing with distance learning

Year 9 students – please continue with distance learning from 22 to 26 November.  Then please come to the ‘drop and swap’ area at the front of the school from 9.30 am to 10.30 am on Monday 29 November to drop off your school device and charger (if you have one) and swap it for a home learning pack for the remainder of the year.   You are still able to pick up a home learning pack even if you are using your own device.

Year 10 students – please continue with distance learning from 22 to 26 November.  Then please come to the ‘drop and swap’ area at the front of the school from 9.30 am to 10.30 am on Tuesday 30 November to drop off your school device and charger (if you have one) and swap it for a home learning pack for the remainder of the year.  You are still able to pick up a home learning pack even if you are using your own device.

Health and Safety information for staff and students onsite

AT Transport

School bus services will be running.  Entry and exit is through the rear door of the bus and we are allowed full capacity on school buses, including standing students if required.

Information about AT public buses in Alert Level 3 is here:

A face-covering must be worn on-board and while you are waiting for public transport. This includes school buses, bus and train stations, bus stops and ferry terminals. You do not need to wear a face covering if you are under the age of 12 or have medical reasons not to. For more information on exemptions go to:

Student Vaccination information

As mentioned previously, while it is not mandatory we would like as many students as possible who are wanting to come onsite to be vaccinated before returning.   We are also required to collect the information about the vaccination status of all ϳԹ students.  Thank you to those students and their parents who have provided their vaccination status to us.  We do ask that all remaining students please provide this information as soon as possible by clicking on this link and completing the form:

Student vaccination register:

The form will give you the opportunity to upload evidence of your vaccination so please have a photo ready to do this if you have one.  Alternatively, you can bring your evidence to school and complete a paper form when you are next onsite.  This form will also be available from the school office from 22 November.

Reporting to whānau for the rest of the year:

Year 9 and 10 reports: we will send another engagement report to whānau on Wednesday 08th December (Week 8).   Please note that this report is a reflection of student’s engagement during the lockdown only.   We are looking forward to all students returning onsite from 2022 so we can continue to support them in their learning and ensuring they are able to gain the qualifications they need in future years.

Year 11 - 13: a final academic transcript will also be sent to whānau during Week 8.

Kind regards

Louise
